This yarn is a large #4. I love the soft stretchy feel of it. I like it best with a K (6.5) or L (8.0) hook. The BUT is that for most cakes there are TOO MANY colors in a ball. I love the Cloudy Day and Stormy Blues, I would love to have this yarn in solid colors.- A little thicker than the average 4-weight yarn
