Description
Just Hemp Yarn from Lion Brand fits all temps! This yarn is 100% hemp, which feels cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Like linen and other plant fibers, hemp works up into a durable fabric with wonderful drape. The yarn will soften as you stitch with it and get even softer with every wash, dry, and wear!
Plant fibers, like hemp, don’t have the same structure as animal or synthetic fibers and tend to split or untwist a bit easier as a result. We recommend working with a blunt-tipped needle or hook and making sure that you’re wrapping the strand in the same direction as the twist in the yarn – that will help keep the twist going in the same direction and encourage the individual strands to stick together.

Just Hemp is great for home projects like plant hangers, coasters/placemats, dish clothes & towels, and it’s strength makes it great for bags and totes as well. It softens greatly after the first wash, so it would be drapey enough for summer tops and shawls as well!

Machine wash. Initial water temperature should not exceed 40C or 105F. Use a machine dryer regularly used at the hottest available temperature setting. Do not smooth or finish with an iron. Do NOT use bleach products. Dry Clean, any solvent.

I like the colors and the feel of the yarn. However, it is extremely difficult to work with as it kept splitting. I am sorry to say that I haven't worked with a yarn this difficult and won't be ordering it again unless improvements to it are made.- Works up quickly
